Issuance of certificates of compliance to telecommunications facilities and devices

Certification of telecommunications facilities and devices is carried out in accordance with Article 9.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Telecommunications”, “Rules of Certification of Telecommunications Facilities and Devices in the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by Decision No. 175 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 21, 1998.

 

Electronic services for certification of telecommunications facilities and devices are provided by AzInTelecom LLC under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

Electronic services for certification of telecommunications facilities and devices are provided on the basis of applications from the applicants. The applicant accesses the electronic service, performs operations on the relevant service and attaches required documents to the application. After the generated application is printed out, signed and stamped, it is sent to the email address certificate@azintelecom.az. After the application is sent electronically, it is registered and a notification is immediately sent to the applicant’s email address. If the application documents are in order, an agreement is concluded with the customer. The agreement is concluded for a period of one year and is extended for a period of three years in the absence of an initiative by either party to terminate the agreement one month before the end of the agreement period. The agreement formed in the electronic service shall be printed in two copies and after confirmation physically shall be submitted to AzInTelecom LLC.

 

The responsible department examines the request and attached documents, and in case of refusal to issue a certificate of conformity to telecommunications facilities and devices or any shortcomings in the submitted documents, a notification is sent to the e-mail address of the applicant within five (5) working days. After shortcomings are eliminated and the documents are resubmitted, they are reviewed within 15 (fifteen) working days and a relevant decision is made. Applications requiring further examination and verification shall be dealt with within a period of 30 working days.

 

In accordance with paragraph 4.7 of the “Rules for Certification of Telecommunications Facilities and Devices in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, approved by Decision No. 175 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 21 August 1998, the work and expenses for conducting certification of telecommunications facilities and devices are paid by the customer. Payment is regulated in accordance with the protocol to the agreement and price agreement concluded between the certification authority and the customer, taking into account the work and expanses for conducting certification of telecommunications facilities and devices. Payments are made by transfer and a copy of the document confirming the payment is scanned and sent.

As a result of the provision of services on the basis of application, a certificate of conformity is issued to telecommunications facilities and devices manufactured, imported, exported or sold by the customer.

 

The certificate of conformity is issued for a period of one year.
