Granting permission for distribution of foreign periodicals in Azerbaijan whose founder and permanent editorial office is outside Azerbaijan Republic
In accordance with the “Rules of granting permission for the distribution of foreign periodicals in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan whose founder or permanent editorial office is outside Azerbaijan Republic” approved by Decree # 64 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic dated April 11, 2000, if the rules of granting permission for the distribution of foreign periodicals in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan are not set forth in interstate agreements signed by Azerbaijani Republic, permission for its distribution is granted by the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MCHT).
Distribution of foreign periodicals in Azerbaijan is carried out by public and private printing companies.
Representatives of foreign periodicals or printing companies for the distribution of foreign periodicals in the Republic of Azerbaijan must apply to the ministry with the application and submit the required documents.
MCHT considers the application and documents submitted to receive permission for distribution of periodicals in the press, and in the event of no grounds for refusal, makes a positive decision, gets acquainted with the nature of foreign periodicals, and permission is granted on condition that its each issue is sent to the MCHT for up to 3 months.
